Pre-K Literacy Lessons® manual contains 160 lesson for the year to build phonemic awareness, understanding of numbers, building vocabulary through categories and more. Activity Five of every lesson is the Pre-K Lessons for Thinking sheet. The Pre-K Lessons for Thinking sheets cover a wide variety of Pre-K skills: tracing, matching, counting, locating, categorization, and patterns.

As the students participate in each lesson, they develop a love for learning while learning how to learn, how to think, and learning self-management. The whole class lessons gives equal opportunities to all students for language development and experiences that open up learning capacity and maintain the development of thinking skills. There are also lessons to support the building of the WORKSHOP WAY® Schedule of Tasks so students become certain of what to do and grow in independence as they work independently in the Pre-K Schedule of Tasks.
