“2 or 3 in a Group” is designed as a task for the WORKSHOP Schedule of Tasks where the students work in a cooperative group of 2 or 3 students to solve math word problems. This set of 70 cards of math word problems, 5 problem in each set, can also be used in small group instruction for the solving of math word problems.

These math word problems can be used in the second semester of 1st grade, all of 2nd grade, the first part of 3rd grade, English Language Learners, or home school.

This set of 70 cards of math word problems, 5 problem in each set, can also be used in small group instruction for the solving of math word problems.

This product can be used in the second semester of first grade, all of second grade, the beginning of third grade and for English Language Learners and homeschoolers.

It is suggested that students choose any three of the five problems to give student choice.  An optional progress card allows students to self-monitor their progress.

Paper needed to print: 36 sheets of white 8.5″x11″ card stock and one sheet of colored card stock.

To print: Print pages #7 – 42 on white 8.5″x11″ card stock and cut in half on the line.  Place cards in an appropriately sized box for students to the select cards.

Print page #3 on colored card stock.  This contains the directions for student use.

Page #4 is an optional Study Board for student use to print on colored card stock.

Page #5 is an optional Progress Card for student use. Print on plain copy paper.
